This song came about when my cousin Judy was struggling with what she wanted to say to her dad after he had passed. She asked if maybe I could help her and this is the outcome! I have lost both of my parents so I wrote this in hopes it could bring peace...

Six Foot Circle : This song i wrote when i learned i was going to be a part of a national competition at the Opry House. It is about a young boy (me) fullfilling his dream of standing in and performing in the six foot circle. What you see is me fullfilling that dream.I think it was 1993 when this took place and the video was an acoustic performance from a VCR tape that sat in a drawer for 29 years, thats why i had to patch it together with the full track, i had done well enough in the competition to go back and do a full band recording.

In this song “She asked me why”  i captured the innocence of my granddaughter Chloe. It's about the loss of my wife Pat, her maw maw to cancer and what we had experienced together. Chloe was 7 years old when she sat with me and we talked about life and  wrote about questions she had. This is to date my favorite heartfelt song i've been a part of!

This song was inspired by what was said by a couple of gals after they had finished their turn performing at an open mic. That statement was"I sound so good at home". Immediately after i heard it i had my wife write it down so i would'nt lose it. Anyone who has ever got upon a stage after practicing at home will clearly have lived this statement!
